Have you ever felt like me? It is very annoying when the censor (unclear or blurry picture) appears on the film or some scenes of the film are cut. An official government body decides on the censorships of all films in Thailand, regard to suitability for children and/or adults in terms of issues such as sex, violence and profanity. But actually, they interrupt the moods of viewers.
On the contrary, in many countries, there are films rating instead of the censor or the scene cutting. They help people decide whether a movie is suitable for themselves and/or their children. Also, in some jurisdictions a rating may impose on movie theathers the legal obligation of refusing the entrance of children or minors to the movie. The ratings consist of
G - General Audiences
All ages admitted.
PG - Parental guidance suggested
Some material may not be suitable for children.
PG-13 - Parents strongly cautioned
Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.
R - Restricted
Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian.
NC-17
No one 17 and under admitted.

If a film has not been submitted for a rating, the label NR (Not Rated) is often used.
From newspapers and TV programs, It is found that there are too much censors and scene cuttings on many films which showed in Thailand. Actually,they interrupt the smoothness of the films and the viewers’ understanding via the storylines. Besides, they obstruct, not only the productions of movie producers such as when the producers make the films, they will lose so much money more because the films are always cut or don’t pass the censorship, so they have to fix them again and again, but also obstruct the development of Thai movies; the producers are disheartened to produce the films, because there are many processes and rules in order to pass the censorship.
For me, the censor always break my pleasance in watching movies and mess my eyes. I think that it couldn’t help anything, because the children still can guess or know what is exactly in the censored scene.

For me, the censored scenes interrupt me a lot while I’m watching a film. Although the pictures are blurry, the audience can get what those pictures are. So why do they have to censor the pictures?
Although there is a film rating, the scene cuttings still appear. As long as the films are shown in Thailand (in Thai society), the pictures have too much sex, violence or profanity; they will be cut off some. The suitability of pictures is still regarded important.
However, I think it’s time for Thailand to have a film rating. If there is a film rating, the censors and the scene cuttings will at least decrease. Moreover, people know how suitable the film is they’re going to watch. And the film producers don’t need to cut or edit many censored scenes. So the audience can get full emotions of pictures while watching the film.

Many times, I feel annoying, the censorship interrupt me while I’m watching a film. But I have to accept that the censorship is very important to control suitability of what the media presented people. At present, the media presents many things both good and bad. Especially in films and in advertisements, many products which are not suitable for children were released such as alcohol drinks, cigarettes including sexual images.
Children are considered as immature. They lack of maturity, they don’t have enough an absolute decision, may be less likely to know what is appropriate or inappropriate to do. So, they are susceptible to be motivated.
If there is no censorship in what the media presented, children may receive or imitate something bad. So, we should accept the censorship, it is better than our children are informed with unsuitable things for their age because we can not control all children’s activities after they were informed by the media.

I totally agree with your idea. We should establish the rating system instead of placing the blurry area. Censor helps nothing, it tells us only that this is an immoral act and it is not suitable. But it doesn’t tell us what is not suitable for whom. It just irritates eyes of the adult viewer. And the children can assume what is being censored and they will perceive as same as non -censor. If there is a man carrying a gun walking down the street, there is no censor. But when this man pointing his gun to someone head, there is censor on that gun. Everyone will intuitively know that the object being censored is a gun.
Rating systems allow the parents to guide their children better when they are watching a compromise situation in films. Beside, rating system is more specific because the rates are divided according to age of the viewer and give the reason why this film is restricted for children in certain age.

I personally hardly have time to go to the movies as I have myriads of things to do at my workplace . Whenever my time permits, I usually go and abandon myself to the movies I like most. On occasions I was really appreciated with actors and actresses in each movie, but sometimes I felt annoyed, irritated or even furious about the ways the movies were showed and presented. Some parts of the movies were cut. Some pictures were censored. Some words were made silent! I don’t understand that why didn’t the film producers and the censors work in collaboration with each other? Did they talk to each other before making a film? Shame on them! I know that the true purpose of the movie is to entertain people and at the same time to make big profits, but the movie producers must be responsible for what they are producing. Is there any possible way to produce a movie without being censored? If possible, we will not face the problem aforementioned! This is just my humble opinion.
